  • Self-handled hunter
    2013 | Self handled hunter
This is a very light, forged, self handled skinner/chore knife. The blade is 3 inches long, but he deep belly gives it a very long cutting edge. The handle has a textured rust finish. It is ready to be used as is, or is ready for a cord wrap.
OL: 7-1/2"; BL: 3". Sheath: Leather with spring clip
  • Clip Point
    2012 | Clip Point
a clip point with a finger notch. This one is dressed in curly maple.
  • Hook Blade
    2012 | Hook Blade
A hook blade utility knife. This is my version of a cheap paring knife for the kitchen. This is a great veggie knife, but also a very useful everyday knife. This example is handled in walnut.
  • Spear Point
    2012 | Spear Point Blade
A semi spear point hunter, useful as a general chore knife. This example is handled in Ironwood.
  • Small Hunter Knife
    2012 | Hunter
A flat top hunter, this one is dressed in Osage Orange.
  • Tanto
    2012 | Tanto
A tanto point utility. It has a chisel grind and can be had in a left or right, or in a more conventional double grind, on request. This example is handled in curly Koa.
  • Wryncliffe
    2012 | Wryncliffe
A Wyrnclyffe in stablized maple burl.
  • Drop Point
    2012 | Drop Point
A drop point design. It makes a nice utility blade, or a steak knife, or a kitchen paring knife. This example is handled in Cocobolo.
  • Stag Handle Bowie
    2010 | Stag Bowie
A nice light weight clip point hunter. Nickel silver mounts and stag handle and an attractive Osage spacer. In person it has a striking hamon.
  • Osage Handled Wharncliffe
    2007 | Osage Wharncliffe
This is a favorite style knife of mine. It is very light and easy to carry, the sharp point is quite usefully and the straight edge is simple to sharpen.
  • Stag Handled Bird and Trout
2010 | Stag Bird and Trout
This was slender blade, built in my favorite construction method (with a threaded tang and cap nut). The owner uses this as his EDC.
    Handle: stag; Guard: Nickel-silver.
  • Tiny Tactical
    2010 | Tiny Tac #1
This was the first of what promises to be a series of inexpensive JS EDC's (Every Day Carry). Pretty basic self handled knife with a 2.5 inch blade.
